As a property owner on Michigan's premier spring fed lake, the Lake Cora Corporation, a property owners association; would like to extend an invitation to you and your family to become members. The Lake Cora Corporation was founded in 1972, with the purpose to promote and operate as a community; to protect and enhance the water quality, water safety, land values, enjoyment of property and social relations at Lake Cora. To buy, sell, hold, lease and control real or personal property as may be incidental to the foregoing purposes but not for profit. The corporation is controlled by nine board members, which include four officers and five directors. Each year, three new board members are elected to three year terms. All corporation members are encouraged to participate. As a member, you would benefit by receiving newsletters regarding water quality, social events, notices of planned activities and news of local interest. The corporation also promotes interaction with other lake residents by sponsoring www.lakecora.com, a website that contains information concerning water safety and special events, such as our annual picnic held in July. Membership dues are $200.00 per year and go towards operating costs and maintenance of the lake (including water quality studies and undesired weed treatment) and for first year residents, the dues are waived.
